Gone Now
02:15
|

I was a hell-sent disarray
She sits so gracefully instead
I wonder if it’s a normal
Novelty shop trending these days
The bar glows beautifully this way
My slouching back couldn’t stand all day
If there’s any problem
Promises?
[Chorus]
By now i’m gone now, gone now
My head is spinning, hazy
It’s alright with you
I’m gone now, gone now
My head is spinning hazy
It’s alright with you
[Interlude]
Everyday, everything
Starts circling around
I have felt everything
That was meant for the ground

Every Day
03:05

I forgot to sleep again
And walked to work feeling nervous and grey
Slumped in a chair at noon
And closed my eyes hoping it’ll be over soon
Clearing my head of noise
That asks itself, ‘go have your choice:
‘Stay put and lose yourself, or wait it out - “it’ll be over soon”’
I forgot to eat today
And walked back home feeling anxious and scared
Laid down and closed my eyes
For just ten minutes I’ll tell myself
A sound came into my head and it comforted me so I sang it out loud
And I sang it again
It comforted me so I sang it again
(The sounds...)

The Movies
02:34

Things get crazy
When we both get cozy
Up here in the attic, is the only place in the city I can sleep in
We’ve got no monies
To go out like the yuppies
So we sleep in till morning, but when you’re next to me I don’t get to Sleep in
Don’t get me wrong,
Cause I like you a lot
It’s just so wrong
When we don’t even talk
Like they pictured in movies but we don’t even used to but we don’t Even used to at all
How we doing this
It’s not an ordinary thing (you see)
Don’t worry there’s a chance we’ll be Like Clean Air that we used to breathe
We got nowhere to be
Got nowhere to be
(Wooooooo)
Don’t get me wrong
Don’t get me wrong
Like they pictured in movies but we don’t even used to but we don’t Even used to

Derby
02:44
|

Falling asleep at the back
We were caught ball-watching
Three blue shirts ran past him
And one sticks his foot out
Camera pans to the back of the net
Then to a closed set of eyes
This year isn’t our year just like the last
It’s the same damn scene repeating on our screens
We’ll get them next year,
Win every game, home & away

Annual Home Alone Reruns
01:46

I will see you again
And if I’m lucky in days
But how the tv flickers again
Just all the signals ruined by the
Thunder, roaring over like a
Motherfucking generator
I will see you again
And if I’m lucky in days
I knew it
I guess it’s just another verse
I’ve pretty much ran out of words
Adjust the bandwidth on the broadband
So I can see you happy again
It’s not like I don't see it
When I sleep alone in my mattress
On the floor it’s cold but I did it
Every night it’s playing on repeat
We romanticised this awful experience
And wrote it in our books for our pleasure
And put it in a screen for an audience
Mess with everyone who was broken

Courage
01:31
|
|||
I’ll decide if the lack of courage has been tiring me out to make change, or if I’m too selfish to try to help.
Then suddenly, I go to sleep to seek brevity and purpose in the words I speak.
I’ll wake up to the fact that I’ve done nothing right by people. Really is a lack of courage from where I stand and see.
And suddenly, I’ll feel at peace. A purity that endangers me...

Christie's waiting
She wants out of the cold
Just ten more minutes
Tell me you can hold
Will the station guards allow us through?
The setting sun says it’s time to
Come back home
But I don’t wanna go
So what if I cry to Important Things?
And Ems just doesn’t wanna sing
Could it be known
Could it be known
Will this plane nosedive and crash into
The imaginary I flew to
Maybe you’ll know
Maybe you’ll know
